We invite applications for a post-doctoral position at the Data and Knowledge Laboratory of Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa, Israel). The successful applicant is expected to carry out research within the project "Quantitative Reasoning About Database Queries" lead jointly by Martin Grohe (RWTH Aachen) and Benny Kimelfeld (Technion).

We are especially interested in candidates with a strong background in databases, machine learning, and theoretical computer science (particularly algorithms, complexity theory and logic). Applications should include a detailed CV, an expected date of Ph.D. graduation, a brief statement of research interests, and a list of publications. Please also mention names and contact details of one or two references, preferably one from the Ph.D. advisor.

The position is full time for one year, with a possible extension of at least one more year.
